Indie Author Alley Application
SELL YOUR BOOKS DIRECTLY TO READERS AT THE COLUMBUS BOOK FESTIVAL.
Indie creators, authors from small presses or hybrid publishers, and self-published authors can sell and sign books directly to readers under the big tent. The Festival will provide a large, canopied pavilion with rows of vendor tables perfect for customer perusing.
Applications for table space in Indie Author Alley will be accepted through January 2025.
Half Table: $150
- ½ of a shared 6’ table with linen; one chair
- One vendor credential
- Table top sign with author name
- Vendor listing in the print festival program
- Vendor listing on the festival website – includes 25-word description and website link
- Reserved garage parking pass
Full 6’ Table: $250
- One 6’ table with linen; two chairs
- Two vendor credentials

PARTICIPATION GUIDELINES
- Materials must be professionally presented
- Exhibit tables are reserved for authors from small presses, indie creators and self-published authors.
- Participation during both festival days is required.
- Seller must be the author or co‐author/creator of all titles sold.
- Vendors will bring and set up their own supplies (books, payment system, display items).
- Payment and a completed exhibitor contract are required to guarantee space.

Columbus Book Festival is committed to celebrating a broad range of cultures and ideas, and to providing space for emerging authors who write on a variety of topics.
- Selection is not first come, first served.
- Prior participation does not guarantee future participation. All applicants may not be selected.
REVIEW AND SELECTION PROCESS
Interested indie authors must complete an application and provide a website and/or relevant social media channel for reviewers to evaluate. Physical books should not be sent to the library. With the information provided on the application and relevant digital channels, a selection committee will evaluate applications using the following criteria.
- Professionally edited and presentedmaterial
- Relevance to the vision, purpose and goals of the festival
- Timeliness and importance of materials for contemporary society
- Competence, popularity, local interest and reputation of author, illustrator, creator, producer, performer and/or publisher
- Relevancy of content to the community
- Suitability of subject and method of presentation for intended audience
- Relationship to other applications in the same subject field
- Accuracy of the content
- Legal definition of obscene materials
- Provides added value to the overall selection of author titles
